Neolithic: ornaments
Presentation
The ornaments found in Dikili Tash are made of four different materials: shell (Spondylus Gaederopus, and other marine species, such as Cerastoderma or Dentalium), stone (including marble), bone and clay. There is also one single bronze bead, retrieved from a Late Neolithic I layer which is one of the oldest metal objects in the Aegean.
The main categories of artifacts are beads, rings, and pendants.
