The archaeological research at Dikili Tash

The site of Dikili Tash has been known to archaeologists since the years of the First World War.

Apart from the narratives of travelers and the first pilot research conducted by L. Renaudin in 1920-1922, four systematic excavation programs have been undertaken :

-Program 1, excavations 1961 - 1975
-Program 2, excavations 1986 - 1996
-Program 3, excavations 2008 - 2013
-Program 4, excavations since 2019
