Stone vessels

Marble bowl; Late Neolithic I (c. 4900 BC). Marble bowl. Two diametrically opposed holes have been pierced under the rim, probably for suspending the vessel; Late Neolithic. The only shape that is represented is the shallow bowl. Vessels are generally small and one has two small, diametrically opposed holes below the rim, which probably served for hanging the vessel. This fact, along with the presence of traces of burning on the inside, suggests that it may be a lamp.
